We are two 30 years old passionate french computer scientists, (aka) Seb and Mit. We know each other for quite a long time right now and we pretty much have the same interests in life. We both grow up with the same TV series, music and movies from the 80's to nowadays. We have been both working in the same environment for quite along: computer science. We try to be up to date in that domain and his fast growing evolution, and more particularly the Internet.

The idea of two fans who are dreaming to make a wall covered with the messages of their favourite Celebrities and to share it with the million other fans who are the Net surfers. We count on the notoriety of the Celebrities, the power of Internet and on the media to concretize our bet. As we said we are 30 years old and we are feeling nostalgic. Lately we have been thinking about trying to reach Celebrities via Internet, as fans, to thank them for all those great moments of happiness they gave us. We dreamt we could write to the famous Lieutenant Columbo®, Starsky & Hutch®, Magnum® or Pappy Boyington®...
By spending time on Internet we realized that, as opposed to what we thought, the stars who made us dream during years (and are still, thanks to the repeated TV broadcasts and DVDs), are not as inaccessible as we imagine it. After doing some research and surfing on official websites on the internet, we started to put together a bunch of email, which gave us more and more hope. With the time passing and our results, we decided to spread our research to all the celebrities whom we love, the ones we grew up with and that are still making us dream even today.
Then, we have been thinking to ask for dedicated pictures from celebrities we're fans of, to make a wall of them in our respected living houses… To comfort this idea, we saw on TV two celebrities having their friends signing a big wall in their houses. But we are fans of so many celebrities, the wish to write to everybody makes us realize the difficulty of our ambition.
Internet seems to be the solution. So, we thought we could also have our own wall and share it with everyone on the Internet, all those fans !
Since then, we are obsessed about the idea. The more we are thinking about it, the more we think our project will be a success, and we are pushed foward to do it, so we will have no regret in the future for not making it real. We are really excited about starting our project, and we hope you'll take the time to read us and talk about this one around you ! And anyway, if it doesn't work out, we'll have at least the small reward of tried to "reach the Stars" ; )
Even if this sounds "unreal", we are dreaming that you or somebody else could make things happen, starting a chain reaction by his popularity and making this project a big success. When we say "chain reaction", we are hoping people will talk to other people and let them know about our website, the popularity of the site generated by the engagement of certain Celebrities could make it possible to draw the attention to a large group of people.

The Celebrities email us an image of their choice (a message to the attention of their fans, a picture, the cover of the last album, a poem, a thought etc.) to post it on our wall. We will also add a link to the official website. The fans that we are then will be able to stroll in front of the wall, reading the messages or watch their favourite Stars and reaching the sites of these, by a simple mouse click.
Some precisions:
- you must have the right to provide us the image, the text and the link for the site that you send to us.
- you accept that this one is reproduced on the poster in the possibility of an auction sale once the wall is filled.
- the slots on our wall will be allotted one after the other depending on incoming requests.
- and finally, if you do not have a digital image to propose to us, you can send us an email at contact@celebritieswall.com and we will give you a postal address which you will be able to forward to us a postcard, a photo etc. that we will digitize for you.
We really want to make this project unbelievable. We decided that if we fill a big amount of the wall, we had think to make a big wallpaper out of it, like a poster, and then sell it in an auction website and give the total amount of money we could get to Charity Organisms. Considering the selling price of the last 1000 pixels of milliondollarhomepage.com on the famous site of bidding online, we let you imagine the selling price of the poster containing of the messages of Celebrities ! Especially if some people have the opportuneness of helping us to make circulate information about the sale, once it's possible.
We let people to their own thinking about the celebrity status. Our project was first of all about trying to contact the celebrities we liked in our childhood, to thank them for all those memories we have in our mind, that we care about. Time is flying, and we have been thinking to contact all kind of people in many categories : cinema, music, sport, video games etc. from the 70's to nowadays. An actor that made us dream for years, a singer we are listening to regularly, a sportsman whom we admire, a programmer of a famous video game that we spent hours playing with etc. For us, all these people who gave us pleasure to discover them correspond in this term. Like we said before, we are hoping that many people will let others know about our website, and that medias will talk about it one day, so we could reach more and more celebrities and their fans.
